Accommodations were excellent - rooms clean, comfortable, and with lovely views. All hosts were very welcoming and seemed genuinely happy to have our group!! The food was excellent and the restaurants/hotels were always eager to accommodate changes or dietary modifications. It was fun trying the different regional dishes - just wish I had tried more regional gelato!!!
Our guides were exceptional - their knowledge, support and encouragement was outstanding. They were delightful young ladies who treated EVERYone with respect and kindness. There was always an abundance of snacks for refuelling, bathroom breaks when we needed them, and lots of laughter along the way. Would I do another trip with the same guides? A far better question would be 'would I do another trip with any other guides' - and my answer would be an emphatic NO! They were amazing ... wonderful young ladies!

We really enjoyed this tour. Seeing the smaller towns throughout the countryside was a lot of fun, and the pasta, wine, and olive oil was amazing. Really enjoyed the self guided aspect where we could set our own pace and stay in some of the towns along the way for however long we wanted. The hotels all had good service and pretty extensive breakfast spreads. The only small hiccup was with a rental bike provided that was way too small. They straightened out the issue pretty quickly by getting the correct size bike to us the next evening. Everyone was very responsive and friendly. Definitely would use Pure Adventures again and would love to go back to Italy!

In 2017 I had the pleasure of riding 2 self-guided tours in Italy arranged by Pure Adventures (Tuscany and Piedmont). Everything was very well organized and the locations were absolutely gorgeous. The folks that I worked with in the US prior to departure were most helpful and accommodating, and I was met in Italy by other affiliated partners who gave me a thorough orientation. Every day’s plan was thoughtfully laid out and well communicated. The hotels were always very nice, and my bags were waiting for me upon my arrival in each new town along the way…no exceptions. I am pleased to recommend Pure Adventures to anyone looking for a top-notch experience at a reasonable rate.

The tour was excellent. The local Pure Adventures guides met us in Trevi and was very helpful with no hesitation to assist with anything. Bikes were really good and all the GPS maps accurate. Accommodation was excellent also. I would certainly have no hesitation with undertaking another tour.

A brilliant holiday - no two days the same. Plenty of baroque combined with some magnificent scenery and views of rural Sicily. Great food everywhere - almost impossible to have a bad meal. We suggest using a hire car at Ragusa to explore or go to the beach. Be sure to carry enough water at all times (but especially on the walk in the Pantalica Reserve in the Anapo Valley).

A reasonable level of bike fitness is needed for this trip, although there were very few steep hills there is a fair bit of steady climbing for several kilometres at a time and the weather can be very hot. There is a nice mixture of city and country and the cycling is mainly on good quality roads, some of which are busy, others deserted. This was our 5th Inntravel cycling holiday and once again the service and organisation was superb.

Brilliant, well thought-out holiday from start to finish. We felt really like Inntravel had done a fantastic job of creating a holiday that ticked all the boxes for us. It was really well organised and hassle free. All the accommodation was excellent, we loved Sacre Pietre as the owner was so friendly and welcoming and the Anapo valley is incredible and worth spending as long as possible hiking around. The cycling was within our fitness range, as we cycle all the time anyway, but if you don't then best take an ebike as it is hilly on some days.

This trip was wonderful!! Our guides were the best!!! Gloria and Roberta so helpful, kind, professional, knowledgeable and a lot of fun!! Would do another trip with them in a heartbeat. Highlights of the trip were the cooking lessons, wine tasting, the riding and hiking, the beautiful countryside and of course the wonderful people that I met on this trip!

The Countryside to Coast Hike and Bike Tour was amazing in every way. Our guides Gloria and Roberta (and Ilaria the first day) were outstanding.
